“Words are my Enemy”

When we first came to see Dr. Dowis, our son was experiencing pain over one eye and hated school.  He actually said, “words are my enemy.”  During the middle of his first grade year we began vision therapy.  He worked hard for eight months and we saw amazing improvement — not just in school work, but also in sports.  In soccer he was not chasing the pack of children, but going after the ball because his reaction time had improved so greatly.

Now, here we are years later.  Reading is his favorite activity.  He read over 9000 pages last year for fun!  He is reading above his grade level and is very happy with himself.  The gains we made at Dowis Vision Therapy Center seem to be increasing exponentially as time goes by.
